Public Vote Open: 25 Putting Photographs Compete within the Standard Chartered Weather Photographer of the Year 2025 Competition

From 18 September to 16 October, climate images lovers from across the globe are invited to forged their vote and choose for his or her favorite picture within the Standard Chartered Weather Photographer of the Year 2025 competitors.

Celebrating its tenth 12 months, the competitors is run by the UK’s Royal Meteorological Society and serves as a global platform to lift consciousness of environmental points placing our planet in danger – together with heatwaves, excessive flooding and cyclones – whereas showcasing the awe-inspiring magnificence and energy of our climate.

The knowledgeable panel of judges have had a tricky job, whittling down from over 4,000 superb entries from all over the world, and it’s now over to the general public to have their say. The shortlist gallery for the general public vote is obtainable on the Royal Meteorological Society’s web site and encompasses a wealth of excellent climate and local weather images.  

Professional cameras, cell phones and drones have captured this 12 months’s shortlisted pictures. The 25 photos being proven to the general public have been entered by each skilled and newbie photographers from 12 international locations.  

Highlights embody gorgeous cloud formations, the results of storms – from the north of the UK to the southern US, summer season scenes and winter frosts, skies being painted by nature’s colors within the type of rainbows and the Aurora Borealis, in addition to showcasing the outcomes of local weather change leading to extra unstable and intense climate.
