Swim and Dive Tabs Javier Salcedo as Diving Coach

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific swim and dive program has introduced the latest addition to its employees, bringing aboard Javier Salcedo because the diving coach forward of the 2025-26 season.

“I am truly honored and excited to be joining the University of the Pacific as the new diving coach,” Salcedo stated. “I am looking forward to working with both the athletes and coaching staff to help build on the program’s legacy of excellence.”

Salcedo brings a wealth of diving information and experience to the Tigers after most just lately serving as a head diving coach within the Roseville Joint Union High School District. Salcedo has over 11 years of teaching expertise, a welcomed addition to Pacific’s newly developed diving program carried out this yr to accompany swimming.

“We are so excited to welcome Javier to our coaching staff,” Pacific head coach Katelyne Herrington stated. “He brings in a ton of knowledge and coaching experience, along with incredible energy and passion for diving. Salcedo has developed a powerful skill to encourage student-athletes in his earlier locations, refining their methods and constructing confidence each on and off the boards. Salcedo’s background as each a competitor and coach has given him a deep understanding of what it takes to information divers towards their private bests whereas fostering a protected and supportive coaching setting on the pool.

Salcedo, a local of Fair Oaks, California, graduated along with his bachelor’s diploma in promoting from San Diego State in 2020.

With the addition of Salcedo to the teaching pool, Herrington has formally rounded out her employees forward of the 2025-26 season with assistant coaches Tim Buisson and Nate LeRoy.

The Tigers start their 2025-26 swim and dive marketing campaign at midday on Friday, Sept. 26 at Cal State East Bay at Pioneer Pool. The first dwelling meet of the season follows the following day at midday towards Fresno Pacific on the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
