This Week in ACC Cross Country

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – As the collegiate cross nation season rolls on, six Atlantic Coast Conference groups will compete throughout three meets on Friday, September 19.
 
Four ACC faculties will head to Cary, North Carolina, for the adidas XC Challenge, hosted by NC State. In addition to the Wolfpack, Clemson, North Carolina and Wake Forest will all compete within the meet. The males’s 6K is scheduled to start out at 5:15 p.m. ET, whereas the ladies’s 5K is slated to start at 5:55 p.m. ET.
 
Virginia Tech will host the Hokie Invitational on the Buford Meredith Course in Blacksburg, Virginia. The ladies’s 6K will start at 6:00 p.m. ET, whereas the boys’s 8K is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. ET.
 
Notre Dame will host the National Catholic Invite on the Burke Golf Course in Notre Dame, Indiana. The meet will function 14 groups and is slated to start at 3:30 p.m. ET with the boys’s 8K. The ladies’s 5K is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. ET.
 
Noting ACC Cross Country

• 7 ACC ladies’s cross nation groups are ranked within the USTFCCCA Week #1 coaches’ ballot – tied for essentially the most of any convention.
• 6 ACC males’s cross nation groups are ranked within the USTFCCCA Week #1 ballot – essentially the most of any convention.
• The NC State ladies and Wake Forest males have been chosen because the ACC preseason favorites.
• Preseason favourite Wake Forest gained its second ACC Championship in three years in 2024. The Demon Deacons earned 15 of the 17 doable first-place votes within the preseason ballot.
• In 2024, Notre Dame gained its first-ever ACC Women’s Cross Country Championship. The Fighting Irish had been picked second within the ACC preseason ballot for 2025.
