Swim and Dive Schedule Set for 2025-26 Season

Carbondale, Ill. – Southern Illinois swim and dive is simply two weeks out from kicking off their 2025-26 season, because it all begins on October 3 with a two-day meet at Missouri State.

“We are excited about the very challenging schedule we have ahead of us for the upcoming season,” says head coach Geoff Hanson. “Being able to test ourselves against teams from the SEC and Big Ten, and quality MVC teams, will ultimately make us a better team when Championship season comes in February and March. We look forward to the season ahead.”

The season begins with a two-day meet at Missouri State on October 3 and 4. The following week, the group travels to Chicago to face UIC on October 10. SIU then stays in Chicagoland for a dual-meet on October 11 versus Northwestern and Miami (OH). Another dual-meet follows on October 24 and 25 when Southern takes on Illinois and Illinois State in a girls’s solely meet. 

 

SIU’s first residence meet comes on November 13 with the A3 Performance Invite, which lasts till November 15. The Salukis then take part within the Mizzou Invite on November 20 and 22 earlier than their winter break. 

 

The 2026 portion of the schedule picks up on January 9 when the lads’s group competes at Purdue. A day later, the Salukis are again in Carbondale for Senior Day towards Indiana State and Evansville. SIU stays residence for a meet versus McKendree on January 16 earlier than a womens solely meet versus Vanderbilt the following day, which shall be SIU’s ultimate residence meet. 

 

The common season concludes with a highway back-to-back on January 30 and 31; on January 30, Southern will make a journey to Eastern Illinois earlier than touring to Missouri on January 31. 

 

Next up is the Missouri Valley Championships, which occur in Evansville from February 25-28. Diving Zones happen March September 11 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, after which the season concludes with the NCAA Championships if any Salukis qualify. The Women’s Championships are set for March 18-21, whereas the Men’s Championship observe from March 25-28; each NCAA Championships are set in Atlanta this yr.
