Tokyo, Japan – [19 September 2025] – The British Embassy Tokyo hosted a lunchtime reception attended by The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh to launch new UK-Japan partnership programmes as a part of the MUSUBI Initiative, an progressive public-private partnership to encourage funding and develop the following technology of UK and Japanese leaders.  

The presence of their Royal Highnesses displays the deepening friendship and shared values between the United Kingdom and Japan.  

The reception celebrated the launch of three new MUSUBI programmes. Odgers and Chubu Electric will help a mentorship scheme for rising feminine leaders, while LSEG are offering a profession help community for ladies in finance. Deloitte will help MUSUBI’s improvement into an impartial basis. Senior officers, enterprise leaders, educators, and cultural figures from each nations gathered within the Ambassador’s ballroom on the British Embassy Tokyo to have a good time these programmes aimed toward empowering youth, selling sustainable improvement, and enhancing cultural alternate.
