Safe Routes to School – School Travel Plan 2025

Overview

The Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program is a global motion that mixes insurance policies, packages, and infrastructure enhancements to encourage college students in grades Okay–12 to stroll or bike to high school.
Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) SRTS program helps native efforts to create safer, extra inviting routes for college students.

Vision

Walking and biking in Stow might be a secure, handy, and accessible transportation choice for everybody.

Purpose of the School Travel Plan

The City of Stow’s School Travel Plan (STP) identifies coverage, program, and infrastructure suggestions for:

Project Background

• A steering committee with representatives from the colleges and a number of City departments has been updating the plan since January.

• Target Schools: Echo Hills Elementary, Fishcreek Elementary, Indian Trail Elementary, Highland Elementary, Woodland Elementary, Lakeview Intermediate, Stow–Munroe Falls High School, and Holy Family School.

• Walk Audits: Conducted at every college throughout dismissal occasions on varied dates final spring.

• Community Input: A public survey circulated final winter/spring obtained 48 responses, which have been integrated into the plan.
