ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – An Alexandria activist is hoping to empower the neighborhood.
‘Safety and Fun Community Day,’ an area occasion, was hosted by activist Alisha Jackson and Southern Girl Ryderz on Saturday, September 20.
Jackson mentioned she was impressed to place the occasion collectively after assembly a younger woman locally who takes care of her siblings. One day, whereas the woman was cooking, a small hearth broke out.

Jackson said her next community event, which will raise awareness about domestic violence, is scheduled for October 1, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1700 Banks Drive in Alexandria.
