Uncommon fin whale filmed off Falmouth

A wildlife photographer has captured uncommon footage of a fin whale off the coast of Cornwall, in what he describes as probably the most memorable moments of his profession.

Dylan Coundley-Hughes, who is predicated in west Wales, was visiting Cornwall for a number of days to movie marine wildlife when he obtained a tip-off from native fishermen about a big whale sighting in Falmouth Bay.

“We headed out early Friday morning and started scanning the water,” he stated. “There were feeding frenzies going on, dolphins, tuna, birds, and then we saw the blow of the whale. It was massive.”

Mr Coundley-Hughes was capable of movie it from above utilizing a drone, alongside a pod of frequent dolphins.

He stated: “The dolphins really put into perspective just how huge the whale was. It was incredible to witness.”

He added that the expertise was a profession spotlight.

“It’s the biggest whale I’ve ever seen. I do a lot of marine wildlife filming, and this is definitely one of the top moments.

“Lots of people do not realise simply how a lot marine life we’ve proper right here off our coasts.”
