Anderson Theater Reopens at Balloon Museum Simply in Time for Fiesta Enjoyable — Metropolis of Albuquerque

The Anderson Theater – Maxie, Patty, and Family will reopen its doorways on the Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum on Saturday, October 4, at 9 a.m. Public programming will start at 10 a.m. Renovations to the theater have been funded via the beneficiant help of the Anderson Family and the New Mexico Department of Tourism’s Destination Forward Grant.

“We couldn’t be more excited to reopen the Anderson Theater just in time to welcome Balloon Fiesta visitors from around the world,” stated Balloon Museum Director Nan Masland. “This is such a special moment for us, and it wouldn’t have been possible without our wonderful supporters. Now guests can experience ballooning stories on the big screen in a whole new way.”

Opening day will function the debut screening of Above and Beyond: A Balloon Museum Story, a brand new movie by Sopapilla Productions. The Albuquerque-based manufacturing firm, led by husband-and-wife duo Keith and Felicia Allen, focuses on highlighting and uplifting native companies, artists, and creatives via movie and media.

Additional programming will embody:

• Ballooning Around the World – a movie compilation by Ruedi and Priska Abbühl.
• Wind Riders – highlighting Albuquerque legends Richard Abruzzo and Carol Rymer Davis.
• Love within the Clouds – a heartwarming movie a few couple who discover love at Balloon Fiesta.

Visitors will get pleasure from main upgrades to the theater comparable to new seating, improved lighting, a contemporary projector, and enhanced sound.
