Blink creates house station doc for PBS, SBS and France Télévisions | Information

Blink Films is behind a documentary in regards to the International Space Station (ISS) for broadcasters within the US, Australia and France.  

Terror on the Space Station, which can air as both a 2 x 60-minute sequence or a 90-minute single, recounts a sequence of near-catastrophic incidents aboard the ISS from the individuals who witnessed them. Astronauts and mission management insiders reveal essentially the most terrifying  moments they’ve confronted onboard the ISS since its first crew boarded in November 2000.  

Gas leaks, meteor strikes, docking disasters, colliding satellites, spacewalks, showers of house junk and the second the ISS backflipped uncontrolled are among the many life-and-death tales that may function within the movie. 

The doc will air on PSB within the US as Operation Space Station for its Nova strand, and also will broadcast France Télévisions and on SBS in Australia. It will obtain a theatrical launch within the UK.  

Terror on the Space Station is govt produced by Tom Adams and Dan Chambers for Tin Roof Media label Blink Films, and Julia Cort and Chris Schmidt for Nova. Oscar Chan directs with Sophie Burley producing. PBS International is the worldwide distribution companion, and can launch it to the worldwide market at Mipcom subsequent month.  

Chambers mentioned the doc will present an edge-of-your-seat account of the house station’s 25-year historical past. 

“It reveals a whole new story to the ISS, with the astronauts’ first-hand tales of survival in the most hostile environment known to humanity. We are thrilled to be in production for PBS, France Télévisions and SBS as well as looking forward to seeing audiences’ reaction to the film being shown on big screens in cinemas.” 

Schmidt added: “We’ll be sad to say goodbye when this remarkable engineering marvel is decommissioned but we look forward to continuing to tell the dramatic and inspiring story of humankind’s presence in space.”
