Kopcho scores a trio of PSAC minimize instances as KU Girls’s Swimming defeats Shippensburg in season opener

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Freshman Julia Kopcho (Pemberton, N.J./Camden Catholic) broke onto the school scene in a giant approach in her first collegiate meet as she recorded three Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying instances, together with a top-10 program mark as Kutztown ladies’s swimming took down Shippensburg 164.5 to 95.5 Wednesday night within the season and PSAC opener at Keystone Natatorium.
 
The Golden Bears (1-0 general, 1-0 PSAC) obtained PSAC minimize instances from Sarah Zeminski (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East), Kara Damico (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley), Ana Soto (Hamburg, N.J./Vernon Township) and Frannie Pease-Wingenter (Goodyear, Ariz./Millennium), the latter trio incomes the instances within the 50 Free and Zeminski tallying her mark within the 100 Fly.
 
Kopcho’s time of two:14.38 within the 200 IM ranks ninth-best in program historical past. She additionally earned PSAC minimize instances within the 200 Free and 100 Free.
