Men’s Team First, Women’s Team Fourth at Potomac Relay Invitational

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The George Mason males’s and ladies’s swimming and diving groups opened the 2025-26 season on Friday on the Potomac Relay Invitational, hosted by American University.

Facing groups from American, Georgetown, Howard, Mary Washington and Mount St. Mary’s, the Patriots’ males’s group took first place with 504 factors and the ladies’s group completed fourth with 388 factors. 

The Patriots’ males’s group took the highest spot in six occasions and completed with 504 factors.  Georgetown was second with 426 factors, adopted by American (380), Mary Washington (354), Howard (314) and Mount St. Mary’s (292).

The George Mason girls’s group positioned second in 4 occasions and completed with 388 factors.  American was first (456), adopted by Georgetown (418), Howard (416), George Mason (388), Mount St. Mary’s (316) and Mary Washington (302).

On the boys’s facet, the mix of graduate scholar Agustin Rasche, seniors Tate Anderson and Jett Lee and junior Ian Rodgers took the highest spot and set a pool file within the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:23.56).

In the 500-yard freestyle relay, juniors Alex Crown and Cody Scifres together with Rasche and Rodgers touched the wall first (4:05.30).

In the 800-yard freestyle relay, juniors Anthony Garono and Ryan Serbia, together with Crown and Scifres positioned first (6:56.12).  Crown and Scifres additionally mixed to win the 2X500 freestyle relay (9:38.53).

Rodgers, Lee and Garono teamed as much as win the 3X100 butterfly relay (2:32.11). 

In the 400-yard medley relay 4×100 IM, senior Jack Chapman, Anderson, Serbia and Garono mixed for a first-place end (3:31.69).

On the ladies’s facet, senior Peyton Brehmer, junior Sarah Dichak, and freshmen Alexis Brazier and Madelyn Abel took second within the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:50.75).

In the 400-yard medley relay 4×100 IM, senior Angelina Zeidan, juniors Megan Anderson and Kristen Ivey together with Abel touched the wall second (4:05.26).

In the 2X500 freestyle relay, Dichak and Brazier mixed for a second-place end (10:37.86).

In the ultimate occasion of the day, junior Casey Tingen, Brehmer, Abel and Tingen mixed to take second within the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:37.01).

The Patriots host Old Dominion on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. on the Aquatic and Fitness Center in Fairfax, Va.
