HONOLULU—The University of Hawai’i girls’s workforce wrapped up the UH Ānuenue Invitational ending the three-day tourney robust. Hawai’i swept their doubles matches and received 4 of 5 singles matches on Saturday on the UH Tennis Complex.
 
In doubles, UH’s Emma Forgac and Allaire Berl practically shut out Hawai’i Pacific’s Rosa Viller Moller and Lisa Lieberman, 8-1. The different two doubles matches each had been back-and-forth battles that went all the way down to the wire. UH’s Makeilah Nepomuceno and Hannah Galindo edged out HPU’s Evi Roobol and Tereza Noah, 9-7, and UH newcomers Sophie Rachor and Grete Gull mixed forces to carry off the Sharks’ Willow Dymkowski and Annika Hakovirta, 9-7.
 
Hawai’i’s Berl led off the singles competitors cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 victory over the Sharks’ Dymkowski. UH’s latest Rainbow Wahine, Grete Gull adopted with a 6-2, 6-0 win over HPU’s Hakovirta. Fellow Rainbow rookie Rachor defeated HPU’s Kaia Sperry in straight units, 6-3, 6-0. Hawai’i’s Galindo fell to HPU’s Viller Moller, 6-1, 6-3. Then, Nepomucenno held off the Sharks’ Roobol in straight units, 7-5, 6-3 and Forgac closed out the tourney. She battled again after dropping the second set and outlasted HPU’s Noah in a 3rd set tremendous tie-breaker, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4).
 
Next week all six Rainbow Wahine will compete in The Big West Individua Championships, hosted by UC San Diego on the Northview Tennis Courts from Thursday, Oct. 2 by means of Sunday, Oct. 5.
