The Fighting Knights Cross Country Fun Run (previously the Mark Weston Fun Run) was Saturday morning at Bridgewater Links golf course in Lake Havasu City.

The race was initially named for Weston, a Lake Havasu High School scholar who was killed in a tragic automotive accident in 1983.

Weston’s mom, Jean Weston-Marshall, of Kingman, handed out medals to the winners.

“I just think it’s absolutly wonderful. I’m so honoroed and I know that Mark’s spirit is here and has been for 42 years” Weston-Marshall mentioned.
