SCSU Girls’s Swimming and Diving Falls to West Chester in Season Opener

WEST CHESTER, PA.– In its first meet of the 2024-2025 season, Southern Connecticut girls’s swimming and diving fell to West Chester 164-71. 

200 Yard Medley Relay

The Owls 200 yard medley relay group of Reina Loiacano, Ellie Baker, Kali Dominguez and Lakshmi Garofalo positioned third with a time of 1:56.73. 

1000 Yard Freestyle

Seirra DuCharme positioned third with a time of 11:18.37. Following her, was Ava Emmerich completed fifth at 11:30.86. 

200 Yard Freestyle

Paola Castillo positioned third with a time of two:05.30 and Reina Loiacano positioned fifth at 2:06.25. 

50 Yard Freestyle

Molly Kennedy took residence first with a time of 24.99. Emily Denise positioned fifth with a time of 25.83. 

200 yard IM

Ellie Baker completed fourth with a time of two:21.30, following her was Claire Hanna with a time of two:23.21. 

100 yard Butterfly

Emma St Hillaire positioned fourth with a time of 1:04.21. Lakshmi Garofalo positioned sixth with a time of 1:05.04. 

100 Yard Freestyle

Molly Kennedy received the occasion with a time of 53.54. Jilian Pitchell positioned third with a time of 56.79. 

100 Yard Backstroke 

Lexi Dominguez positioned 4th with a time of 1:05.82 and Ainsley Dall positioned fifth at 1:07.76. 

500 Yard Freestyle

Jasmine Urichio positioned 2nd with a time of 5:23.18. Kali Dominguez positioned 4th with a time of 5:32.58. 

100 Yard Backstroke

Emma St Hillaire positioned third with a time of 1:11.65 and Abby Lyons positioned 4th at 1:11.66. 

400 Yard Freestyle Relay

The Owls 400 yard freestyle relay group of Molly Kennedy, Jilian Pitchell, Emily Denise and Aralyn Vogel received the occasion with a time of three:48.38. 

Southern is again in motion on Friday Oct 3 at 6:00pm and Saturday Oct 4 at midday after they to Fairfield to compete within the Fairfield Invitational.
