Swimming Opens Season With Loss to Marymount

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Cedar Crest College swimming crew opened the 2025-26 season with a 196-45 loss to Marymount University in an Atlantic East Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon on the Lee Center Pool.

The crew of first-year Maria Aragon (Albuquerque, N.M./Rio Grande), junior Rylie Heusner (Scranton, Pa./Holy Cross), first-year Nyasia Fernandez (Allentown, Pa./William Allen), and sophomore Madison Nadasi (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) took second within the 200-yard medley relay, clocking a time of two:24.10.

Fernandez and Krillhe Gonell Cruz () competed within the 100-yard IM, touching third and fourth respectively. Fernandez registered a time of 1:31.60 whereas Gonell Cruz touched in 1:37.73.

Aragon was the lone Falcon within the pool for the 200-yard freestyle, ending fourth (2:48.15).

Senior Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton) recorded a fourth-place end within the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:45.21.

Heusner and Gonell Cruz went three-four within the 100-yard breaststroke, with respective instances of 1:15.81 and 1:50.91.

Nadasi completed third within the 50-yard butterfly, registering a time of 37.52 seconds.

First-year Kaitlyn Cohen (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) and sophomore Brooke Arnold (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) went four-five within the 50-yard freestyle with instances of 34.06 and 42.08, respectively.

Aragon was the one participant for Cedar Crest within the 100-yard freestyle, touching fourth (1:15.39).

Cohen was again within the pool for the 50-yard backstroke, accumulating a time of 42.40 seconds.

Heusner and Arnold completed three-four within the 50-yard breaststroke, with instances of 35.48 and 52.66 seconds, respectively.

Reinhart was the one Falcon within the water for the 500-yard freestyle, inserting fourth (8:04.55).

Nadasi took third within the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:27.73.

Fernandez clocked a time of three:10.24 within the 200-yard IM, which place her third.
