Girls’s Golf to Resume Fall Motion at Windy City Collegiate

GOLF, Ill. – The preseason sixth-ranked Duke girls’s golf program will resume fall motion this week because the Blue Devils journey to the Windy City for the Windy City Collegiate Classic, which will probably be contested on the 6,368-yard, par-72 Glen View Club from Sept. 29-30.

Seeing motion together with Duke will probably be Northwestern, Arizona State (people solely), Augusta, Columbia, Illinois, Iowa State, Michigan State, Purdue, SMU, Stanford (people solely), UCLA and Virginia.

The area will play 36 holes on Monday adopted by 18 holes on Tuesday.

Duke will journey a lineup that features graduate pupil Andie Smith, junior Katie Li, sophomore Carla De Troia, sophomore Anna Cañado Espinal and freshman Avery McCrery.  Freshman Rianne Malixi won’t be touring with the staff as she will probably be in Singapore for the World Amateur Team Championship.

As a staff, the Blue Devils had been preseason ranked No. 6 nationally within the Golfweek and Golf Channel nationwide rankings.  Smith, Malixi and McCrery have all been chosen as preseason All-America alternatives.

Duke is coming off closing robust on the ANNIKA Intercollegiate because the Blue Devils fired a 3-under, 285, within the remaining spherical.  Smith led the Duke cost with a 5-under, 67, on the ultimate day, whereas McCrery shot even-par, whereas Li and Malixi signed for a 1-over, 73.

The Blue Devil will tee off Monday morning at 9:15 a.m., together with UCLA and Purdue off gap No. 10.
