Akron Picked to End First within the 2025-26 MAC Swimming and Diving Preseason Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The University of Akron Zips Swimming & Diving crew was predicted to complete first within the 2025-26 Preseason Swimming & Diving Coaches Poll, the convention workplace introduced Wednesday, October 1.

Akron earned eight of the 9 potential first-place votes and earned 64 factors. Miami took the final first-place vote and completed with 53 factors to tie with Ohio for second.

The Zips are coming off their fourth consecutive MAC Championship and the eleventh prior to now 12 seasons after taking gold on the 2025 MAC Championships in Buffalo, N.Y., in March. The Blue and Gold additionally took house first-place on the CSCAA National Championships in Ocala, Fla.

Akron will start the 2025-26 season by internet hosting the Zips Classic on the Oliver J. Ocasek Natatorium from October 10-11.

The Zips will host the 2026 MAC Swimming & Diving Championship on Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 25-25 on the Oliver J. Ocasek Natatorium.
