Schenectady, NY – The New York State Gaming Commission is looking for racing investigators for the New York Racing Commission and Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack.

Work Schedule: Monday via Friday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with further hours together with weekends and holidays.

Duties:

Under the route of the Director of Racing Investigations, Division of Horse Racing and Pari-Mutuel Wagering, the Racing Investigator will carry out duties that embody, however should not restricted to, the next:

• Conducts investigations, and interviews of alleged violations relative to the conduct of racing, together with equine incidents, or such associated issues regarding police actions and legislation enforcement on the racetracks.
• Compiles and submits stories to the Gaming Commission relating to these actions.
• Conducts surveillance on the racetracks to find out and help in relieving issues of administrative management and safety together with identification and exclusion of unlicensed people and different individuals engaged in potential illegal actions.
• Gives testimony as required at hearings regarding suspensions, revocations, and different proceedings relating to proof ensuing from investigations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Six years of legal investigative expertise involving fraud, corruption, organized crime, playing, or different associated expertise, of which six months should be within the horse racing business.
