Mountain West Ladies’s Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Week – Oct. 7 – Mountain West Convention

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West introduced on Tuesday athletes of the week for girls’s swimming & diving. UNLV’s Ava Olson was tabbed the MW Swimmer of the Week, Wyoming’s Alicia Gonzalez was named the MW Diver of the Week and MW Freshman of the Week honors went to Nevada’s Moji Pholjamjumrus.

MOUNTAIN WEST SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
AVA OLSON, UNLV
Junior, Tulare, California/Tulare Union HS
• Collected two top-three finishes in a twin meet towards No. 18 Arizona State with instances that have been within the high 5 nationally.
• Posted a second-place end within the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:58.35, which ranked because the fourth-fastest time within the nation final weekend.

• Took first within the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 52.99.
• Placed second within the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.61.
• Finished second within the 100-yard particular person medley with a time of 59.61.
• Time within the 100 IM ranked because the eighth-fastest time within the nation final weekend.
