Buffs Start Regional Competitors – University of Colorado Athletics

PROVO, Utah – The Colorado Buffalo girls’s tennis crew started the ITA Mountain Region Championship this Tuesday in Provo, Utah.

In the primary day of competitors, the Buffs noticed play within the first spherical of doubles, and the qualifying rounds of singles.

To start the day in doubles, three Buff duos took the courtroom within the spherical of 64, with two popping out on prime.

Freshman Lani Brotman and Yukiko Ikedo confronted Allison Isaacs and Masa Viriant of Boise State University, defeating the Bronco’s, 8-6. Rixt van der Werff and Lera Alexin adopted, defeating their Montana State opponents Terezie Stverakova and Angel Bean, 8-4.

On the highest of the bracket, Anya Nelson and Ema Bubalo obtained a first-round bye, whereas Pia Rebec and Heidi Crncan fell to the bottom.

Singles competitors started within the qualification draw, to find out who will head into the primary spherical this coming Wednesday. Ikedo and Crncan took first spherical wins to begin the day, and Willow Gretsch fell brief to maneuver ahead.

In the second spherical of qualification, Ikedo and Crncan each took losses to complete entrance facet competitors.
