Herd S&D Set to Host WVU for Dual within the Pool Friday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Swimming and Diving workforce opens the 2025-26 season with The Dual within the Pool Friday night towards the West Virginia Mountaineers at 5 p.m. within the Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium.

“We are excited to bring the two flagship institutions in the state together for a head-to-head dual meet for the first time in history,” Herd Swimming and Diving Head Coach Ian Walsh mentioned. “It will be a great event with a non-traditional format that should be fun and engaging for the fans. Both staffs look forward to building this rivalry and promoting our sport within our communities and state.”

The two sides are assembly in a twin format for the primary time in every program’s historical past.

Swimming and diving character Kyle Sockwell will probably be showing on the meet as a part of his Dual Meet Tour.
