LOCK HAVEN — The Edythe Hoy Bossert Gallery on the Ross Library is proud to current a Photography Exhibition by native artist Evan Orner, on show all through October.
The exhibit highlights Orner’s ardour for images and his dedication to supporting those that have served.
An Open House might be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to three p.m., the place guests can meet the artist and buy framed pictures and prints.
All proceeds from the present will profit 22Mohawks, a Veterans Charitable Organization devoted to serving to veterans and first responders discover objective and help. 22Mohawks focuses on suicide prevention and group connection via outreach occasions and three core packages: Pups for Vets & First Responders, the Airborne Operations Course and Retreat and their Suicide Prevention Team. While attending Pennsylvania College of Technology in pursuit of a machinist diploma, he started creating picket coasters and cash. After graduating, he entered the woodworking discipline professionally and developed images as a artistic outlet.
Over the years, Evan has used his craft to help veterans organizations, donating pictures, coasters, and slicing boards for raffles and fundraisers.
His dedication to veterans started along with his 2022 senior challenge, a memorial honoring his shut buddy, Master Sergeant Barry Hill, a Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom veteran who handed away from most cancers in 2019.
The memorial is positioned on the VFW Veterans Benefit workplace window on East Main Street in Lock Haven.
Photography positively appears to present Evan the possibility to create one thing lasting whereas giving again to those that’ve given a lot. This exhibition is a technique to honor his buddy and help 22Mohawks’ mission to assist veterans and first responders discover hope and therapeutic.
