DALLAS (SMU) – SMU is about to host its annual SMU Classic on Oct. 10-11 at 3 p.m. and 10 a.m., welcoming 4 opponents, No. 20 Auburn, No. 12 Louisville, No. 14 LSU and Drury.
Both the Cardinals and the Auburn Tigers competed on the SMU Classic final season, ending second and fourth, respectively. Last SMU Classic, Luke Sitz walked away with wins and NCAA Zone Cuts on each 3-meter and 1-meter. Three of the 4 opponents completed the 2024-25 season within the CSCAA Top 25 ballot with Louisville rating eleventh, Auburn incomes seventeenth and LSU claiming twentieth. Drury gained the 2024-25 Division II males’s championship title.
In the season opener on Oct. 3, SMU claimed a commanding win over Oklahoma Christian (194-74) and Incarnate Word (186-83), incomes victories in 15 occasions.
The Mustang divers set to work, claiming 4 NCAA Zone Cuts. On 1-meter, sophomore Luke Sitz (370.25) and freshmen RJ Snyder (313.35) and Grant Cates (331.25) all scored effectively sufficient to qualify for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
