INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Twenty-nine student-athletes from the 2024-25 University of New Mexico Lobo rosters had been honored with the 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award. Overall, 13 of UNM’s 18 packages had been represented on the squad.

The 29 representatives led all Mountain West faculties, rating seventh nationally behind Stanford, Duke, Western Michigan, South Carolina, UMass, and Ball State.

The 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award acknowledges excellent student-athletes for his or her vital accomplishments within the classroom whereas competing on the highest stage of faculty sports activities. The Award is given yearly to student-athletes who graduate with a cumulative GPA of three.80 or above and have participated in a minimum of two years of NCAA Intercollegiate athletics at a Football Bowl Subdivision establishment.
