Drury Swimming and Diving Completes Day One at SMU Classic

DALLAS — Led by a trio of third-place finishes, Drury males’s and girls’s swimming and diving wrapped up the primary day of competitors Friday night on the SMU Classic at Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center.

Belhassen Ben miled and Joao Nogueira positioned third for the Drury males within the 400 IM and 100 breast, respectively, whereas Maria Fe Munoz picked up a bronze within the ladies’s 400 IM to spotlight the Panthers’ opening day in Dallas.

Additionally, Drury competed on the Don Leas Invitational within the first of two consecutive days of diving in Clarion, Pa., highlighted by Anamarie Lewis’s third-place end within the ladies’s 3-meter (203.05).

Men’s Highlights

• The DU males completed fourth within the 400 medley relay, as Ivan Adamchuk, Nogueira, Alvaro Zornoza and Lucas Mineur posting a time of three:11.18.
• Drury’s 800 free relay squad of Mineur, Matteo Vissotto, Yuri Cabral and Zornoza positioned fifth (6:31.87).
• Carter Austin competed within the males’s 1-meter dive, putting fifth with a tally of 203.30.
• Ben miled locked down a bronze within the 400 IM on the boys’s aspect with a swim of three:53.90.
• Vissotto positioned fifth within the 200 free, ending in 1:36.82.
