Michigan Swims to Quick Begin Towards Wisconsin, Notre Dame

The University of Michigan had a powerful begin to a two-day double twin towards Wisconsin and Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

In the ladies’s meet, Michigan began with a win within the 200 medley relay. Lexi Greenhawt, Devon Kitchel, Brady Kendall and Stephanie Balduccini completed in 1:38.29.

Balduccini gained the 200 free in 1:47.40 and the 100 free (49.73). Hannah Bellard gained the 200 fly in 1:56.37 and 200 IM in 1:59.99. Kendall gained the 50 free in 22.46. Anna Boemer gained the 100 fly in 53.60 forward of Kendall (53.81).

Balduccini, Kendall, Leila Fack and Ella Jo Piersma gained the 400 free relay in 3:16.84.

Wisconsin’s Maddie Waggoner gained the 1000 freestyle in 9:53.94. Maggie Wanezek gained the 100 backstroke (52.23) and 200 again (1:53.65). Brooke Corrigan gained the 100 breaststroke (1:01.96). Blair Stoneburg gained the five hundred free in 4:51.77.

In the lads’s meet, Michigan’s Tyler Ray, Luka Mladenovic, Colin Geer and Antoine Sauve gained the 200 medley relay in 1:27.40.

Lorne Wigginton gained the 1000 free in 9:03.77 and 500 free in 4:25.66. Sauve gained the 200 free in 1:36.37. Mladenovic gained the 100 breast in 52.91 and 200 breast (1:57.83). Geer gained the 200 fly in 1:45.32 and 200 IM in 1:46.58. Ray gained the 50 free in 19.80 and 100 fly in 46.54. Eitan Ben-Shitrit gained the 200 again in 1:45.55.

Sauve, Mladenovic, Ryan Healy and Wigginton gained the 400 free relay in 2:55.88.

Notre Dame’s Tommy Janton gained the 100 backstroke in 47.24. Shane Eckler gained the 100 free in 43.84.
