NDSU Males’s Golf Finishes Second Round of Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational

STOCKTON, Calif – The North Dakota State Men’s golf crew completed in 14^th after the primary 36-holes of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on the Reserve at Spanos Park on Friday afternoon.
 
Rylin Petry (74-73—147) led the Bison in spherical two, bettering his spherical one rating by one stroke. Petry added three extra birdies and 11 holes at par to complete +1 on the day. Petry climbed one spot up the leaderboard and positioned in a tie for 50^th at +3.
 
Jake Skarperud (73-74—147) is tied with Petry for 50^th at +3. Skarperud leads the crew in holes at par for the occasion, after choosing up one other 13 within the second spherical to complete the spherical +2.
 
Gabe Benson (74-75—149) and Carter White (76-76—152) are the ultimate scoring Bison for the center spherical. Benson shot two birdies and 12 holes at par to complete +3 on the day and sits in a tie for 64^th at +5 total. White added 12 holes at par on day two to complete +4 and is locked in a tie for 82^nd at +8 heading into the ultimate spherical.
 
Andrew Ballou (73-77—150) is the ultimate NDSU golfer of the event. Ballou had one birdie and 12 holes at par to complete +5 on the spherical and is in a tie for 75^th at +6.
 
As a crew, NDSU (294-298—592) is in 14^th of 17 groups on the occasion at +16. Host Pacific (276-263—539) is the frontrunner after the primary two rounds with a rating of -37 and maintain a 13-stroke lead over UC San Diego (281-271—552) and Colorado (276-276—552) going into the ultimate day of play.
 
The Bison will wrap up the ultimate spherical of play on the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on Saturday morning. Round three is slated to tee off at 9:30 a.m. CT.
