PRINCETON, N.J. – No. 22 Harvard and Dartmouth picked up Ivy League soccer wins this weekend, whereas Penn and Brown earned non-league victories.
 
Harvard is one among eight remaining undefeated FCS groups. Brown, Dartmouth and Penn every improved to 3-1 general on the season.

Now 12-8 collectively in non-conference play, the league has secured a successful share of .500 or higher for the thirteenth time within the final 15 seasons. 

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10

NO. 22 HARVARD 34, CORNELL 10

7 p.m. // Cambridge, Mass. // Tim Murphy Field at a Harvard Stadium

  • Harvard (4-0, 2-0 Ivy) remained unbeaten with a 34-10 win over Cornell (0-4, 0-2 Ivy).
  • The Crimson scored two defensive touchdowns with an Austin-Jake Guillory 36-yard fumble restoration within the first quarter and a 39-yard choose six from Jack Donahoe within the fourth.
  • Harvard quarterback Jaden Craig threw for 237 yards and a landing and added a speeding rating. Xaviah Bascon led the speeding assault with 94 yards on 23 carries.

  • Linebacker John Lista tied for the lead in tackles with six and had a sack.

  • After falling behind 12-0, Brown (3-1, 0-1 Ivy) outscored Bryant (2-5, 0-3 CAA) 29-6 to complete non-conference play with an ideal 3-0 file.
  • Quarterback James Murphy accomplished 29 of 44 passes for 347 yards and a landing.
  • Running again Matt Childs ran for 92 yards and two touchdowns on 21 makes an attempt.
  • Safety Miles Brophy anchored the protection with a team-high 11 tackles.

  • Receiver Titus Evans had six catches for 111 yards, highlighted by a 74-yard landing.
  • Defensive again Caleb Solomon posted a game-high 15 tackles.

 
NO. 19 MERCER 38, PRINCETON 14

  • Princeton (2–2, 1–0 Ivy) dropped a 38–14 determination to No. 19 Mercer (5–1, 4–0 SoCon).
  • Quarterback Kai Colón was 13-for-21 passing for 124 yards and two touchdowns.
  • Reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Week, Josh Robinson had six catches for 60 yards.

DARTMOUTH 17, YALE 16

  • Owen Zalc’s 51-yard area purpose as time expired lifted Dartmouth (3-1, 1-1 Ivy) to a dramatic 17-16 victory over Yale (2-2, 1-1 Ivy).
