Collins Earns Canadian National Team Call-Up

Cal Alumna To Play In International Friendlies

BERKELEY – Former Cal ladies’s soccer defender Sydney Collins has been named to the Canadian Women’s National Team roster for the upcoming worldwide window, as introduced by the Canadian Soccer Association on Monday.
 
This is Collins’ first choice to Canada’s senior nationwide crew since she was named to the 2024 Paris Olympics roster earlier than struggling an damage that stored her out of competitors. She earned her first call-up in 2023 and has recorded six caps in her worldwide profession.

She served as one in all Cal’s crew captains the ultimate two years of her profession and was a two-time All-Pac-12 choice and a 2022 All-Pacific area choice.
 
On Jan. 12, 2023, Collins was chosen with the eighth general decide within the NWSL draft by the Courage, which is tied for the best NWSL decide in program historical past.
 
Canada and Collins will head to Europe to tackle Switzerland on Oct. 24 on the Swissporarena in Lucerne and the Netherlands on Oct. 28 on the Goffertstadion in Nijmegen.
