CAA Swimming Weekly Awards – Oct. 14

RICHMOND, Va. (October 14, 2025) – UNCW junior William Carrico repeated as CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week and UNCW senior Cameron Snowden was honored as CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week after they mixed for 11 victories within the Seahawks’ dominant efficiency in opposition to Gardner-Webb.
 
CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week

William Carrico, Jr., UNCW (Durham, N.H.)
 
Carrico repeats as Men’s Swimmer of the Week after posting 5 first-place finishes to assist UNCW roll previous Gardner-Webb final Saturday. The junior captured the 200 again (1:45.84) and 200 IM (1:47.63) and was a part of the Seahawks’ successful groups within the 200 free, 800 free and 400 medley relays. He added a third-place effort within the 200 fly (1:48.50). Carrico’s instances within the 200 again and 200 IM are the quickest within the CAA so far.
 
CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Cameron Snowden, Sr., UNCW (Santa Clarita, Calif.)
Snowden, the 2024-25 CAA Swimmer of the Year, recorded six first-place finishes as UNCW cruised previous Gardner-Webb final Saturday. The senior claimed the 50 free (23.14) and 100 fly (53.44) and was a member of the Seahawks’ successful groups within the 200 medley, 400 medley, 200 free and 800 free relays. Snowden’s instances within the 50 free and 100 fly are the quickest within the CAA this season.
