Males’s Tennis Opens ITA Southwest Regionals

TEMPE, Ariz.—Members of the University of Hawai’i males’s tennis group opened the with the qualifying rounds within the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) Southwest Regionals on Thursday on the Kiwanis Tennis Center in Tempe, Ariz.
 
Two Rainbow Warriors started within the Round of 64. Toa Maeda fell to UC Irvine’s Nathaniel Suh, 6-2, 6-2, however Kent Mueller superior with a straight-set win over LMU’s Emil Kindhult, 6-4, 6-3. Both Adriano Dzhenev and Timothy Li had byes within the first spherical.
 
In the Round of 32, UH’s Mueller fell to Arizona’s Matthias Uwe Kask by a break in each units, 7-5, 6-4. Hawai’i’s Dzhenev fell to Grand Canyon’s Daniel Jankowski, 6-2, 6-2, and Li took the second set in opposition to Cal Poly’s Aaron Eliscu, however fell in three, 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-3.
