READING, Pa. – As night time settled in, the Reading Public Museum remodeled into an immersive Halloween journey.
“This is ‘Museum After Dark.’ It’s the first time we’ve done a program like this,” mentioned Becky Ruth, coordinator of training occasions and training outreach.
It was an expertise filled with eerie enchantment, inventive actions and an opportunity to decorate up.
“Tonight is ‘Spooky Night Out.’ So, we have some monster mud sculptures, we have creature portraits.” Ruth mentioned. “We have oracle readings, we have a photo spot, we have kettle corn being sold, wine being sold, pizza — all that good stuff.”
“It’s different. There are art things to do, and there’s stuff to take home, which is fun. It’s really cute,” mentioned Sarah Foster, Reading.
The museum, recognized for its children’ pleasant actions, is giving adults an opportunity to understand artwork for themselves.
“We do a lot of kids programs. We do stuff during working hours,” Ruth mentioned. “So, we wanted to have a fun night out for just adults.”
“It’s nice because I get a chance to actually look at things without chasing a 2-year-old around,” mentioned Jade McCauley, Pottstown.
It’s an opportunity for individuals to fall in love with the best-kept treasures of Reading.
“It’s fun to have, like, activities that the community can do, that doesn’t have to be like, outrageous or super expensive, just something small and fun,” Foster mentioned.
The museum is ready to host one other one among these occasions quickly.
“We have another one coming up in December that is going to be ‘Holiday Cheer Night Out,’ celebrating the Christmas season.” Ruth mentioned.
