Women’s Swimming and Diving Set to Battle Illinois State

CHICAGO – The UIC girls’s swimming and diving program continues its 2025-26 season Friday afternoon once they welcome Illinois State to Flames Natatorium in a Missouri Valley Conference match-up. Admission is free to followers who attend.
 
The meet would be the program’s first Pink Meet for most cancers consciousness. After the second diving occasion there shall be a second of silence for all who’ve been affected by most cancers. Attendees shall be given a pink sheet of paper to write down the names of these they wish to honor which have battled most cancers.

FLAMES FACTS

• This would be the sixth all-time assembly between the Flames and Redbirds, and the primary since October 21, 2023. UIC shall be in search of its first win towards Illinois State.
• The final time UIC and Illinois State met, senior Madison Helmick gained the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:35.37 and senior Kerry-Leigh Morrison gained the three-meter diving occasion with a rating of 301.20.

DUAL MEET RECAP – SOUTHERN ILLINOIS
 

• Senior Kerry-Leigh Morrison swept the diving competitions scoring 257.78 within the one-meter and 282.75 within the three-meter. Morrison earned MVC Women’s Diver of the Week honors for her efficiency and met the qualifying rating for NCAA Zone C Cuts within the three-meter occasion.
• Sophomore Samantha Wilson gained the 100 butterfly (56.77), 200 butterfly (2:03.09) and contributed to the second place girls’s 400 medley relay (1:29.50).
