Girls’s Swimming Wins Twin Meet at Westminster

New Wilmington, Pa. – The Edinboro ladies’s swim group scored a 173-83 victory over host Westminster Friday night time within the first twin motion of the season for the Fighting Scots.
 
Edinboro opened the meet taking the highest two spots within the 200-medley relay. Kirsten Johnson, Emma Beggs, Uxue Navarro and Anna Riedel  took the highest spot in a time of 1:56.55. Anna Mehlenbacher, Kaileigh Smith, Baila Bugara and Regan Repak had been second in a time of 1:57.19.
 
In the 1,000-freestyle, Eliza Miller was the primary to the touch the wall with a time of 10:46.55. Alexis Schrecongost turned in a time of 11:24.16 to position second. The Scots saved the momentum rolling within the 200-freestyle led by a first-place end by Izzy Hanek in 2:03.68. Cara Della Toffalo posted a time of two:06.42 to position second and Naomi Polito was third in 2:10.58.
 
Katelyn Reott completed atop the 100-backstroke checking in at 1:01.63. The Scots claimed the to a few spots within the 100-breaststroke. Emma Beggs led the best way in a time of 1:11.05. Next was Kaileigh Smith in 1:13.23 and Repak was third with a time of 1:14.40. In the 200-butterfly, Navarro was first in a time of two:13.37 and Bugara turned in a 2:25.17 to position second.
 
Reott claimed the first-place factors within the 50-freestyle in a time of 24.96. Riedell touched the wall in 26.33 and Mehlenbacher was third in 26.80 to position third. In the 100-freestyle, Lillian Dilts positioned first in a time of 55.74. Mehlenbacher was second in 58:43.
 
Hanek claimed her second first-place end of the meet with a time of two:13.09 within the 200-backstroke. Beggs posted a time of two:34.24 within the 200-breaststroke to earn first-place honors.
 
Miller added one other first-place end as nicely ending the 500-freestyle in a time of 5:20.26. Dilts completed the 100-fly in 1:01.90 to earn first-place. Navarro was first within the 200-IM with a time of two:17.01.
 
The quartet of Dilts, Hanek, Miller and Reott closed out the meet with a first-place swim within the 200-freestyle relay with a time of 1:38.40.
 
The Scots make their residence debut on Friday after they host Ashland at 6 p.m. inside McComb Fieldhouse.
