BANGOR, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy girls’s swimming & diving workforce opened its 2025–26 season on the highway Friday night on the Husson Relays.

The Mariners started the evening with a second-place end within the 200-yard medley relay. The workforce of freshman Emily Metzker, sophomore Kate Griffin, junior Claire MacDonald, and freshman Avery Fraga clocked a time of two:10.55.

In the 200-yard butterfly relay, the workforce of seniors Kylie Cantlon and Rayelle Brewer, sophomore Natalie Cady, and MacDonald completed second with a time of two:03.84 — simply four-hundredths of a second shy of the occasion win.

Brewer, Cantlon, freshman Abigail Cormier, and Griffin positioned third within the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of two:02.25.

Cormier earned a third-place end within the one-meter diving occasion with a rating of 130.75, whereas Cantlon, Metzker, Griffin, and MacDonald took first within the 400-yard 4×100 IM relay with a successful time of 4:53.82.

In the 200-yard backstroke relay, Cady, Griffin, Cormier, and Fraga completed fourth at 2:21.26. The workforce of Griffin, Cady, Cantlon, and MacDonald captured one other win within the 200-yard breaststroke relay, posting a time of two:39.18.

In the blended 400-yard freestyle relay, the Mariners’ squad of Ryan Johnson Rees, Brewer, Cantlon, and Tim Reda positioned fourth with a time of three:50.96, whereas Miele, Metzker, Fraga, and Levesque completed fifth at 3:53.28. Boyer, Griffin, Cormier, and Murray rounded out the night with an eighth-place end in 4:04.39.

Maine Maritime returns to the pool Saturday to face the University of Maine at 1 p.m. in Orono.
