Maine Swim and Dive battles Maine Maritime Academy

ORONO, Maine — The University of Maine swimming and diving program competed towards Maine Maritime Academy in a twin meet at Wallace Pool on Saturday afternoon.

The afternoon for the lads began with the 200 Yard Medley Relay the place the crew of Matthew Bendoraitis, Nate Teerlinck, Joey Strauss and Julian Lapietra took house first place with a time of 1:34.77.

In the 200 Yard IM, Noah Machristie took house first place with a time of 1:57.40. Ryan Albert completed second with a time of two:06.68 and Jesse Lower completed third with a time of two:08.04.

Joey Stauss took house first place within the 200 Yard Freestyle occasion with a time of 1:43.92. Julian Lapietra (1:48.11) and Carter Barolini (1:50.71)rounded out the highest three.

Matthew Bendoraitis completed the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 53.15 to take house one other first place end on the day. Jacksonville White completed second with a time of 55.75.
