Golf Heads to Long Island for Nassau Intercollegiate

Glen Cove, N.Y. — The Villanova males’s golf crew is about to compete of their penultimate match of the autumn heading to the Nassau Country Club to compete within the Nassau Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday. 

VU has but to complete decrease than fifth place as a crew within the fall because it comes off a fifth place end on the Georgetown Intercollegiate. 

The Event

Over the course of two days, Villanova and 11 different establishments — Belmont, Iona, Fairfield, Kansas City, Sacred Heart, Long Island, Army West Point, Rhode Island, Delaware, Utah Valley and Navy — will play 54 holes. 36 will likely be performed Monday with the ultimate 18 teeing off Tuesday morning. 

Both days will start with a shotgun begin. 

The Course

Nassau Country Club is a 6,761-yard, par 70 course which opened in 1920. 

Wildcats Lineup

Ryan Pamer tees off first for the Wildcats after a twenty ninth end on the Georgetown Intercollegiate. 

Matt Zerfass is available in at second after being VU’s high finisher on the Georgetown Intercollegiate after a seventeenth place efficiency. 

Vibhav Alokam returns to the third spot for the third time in fall following a twentieth place end at Echo Lake. 

Brockton English hits fourth off the tee for the Wildcats and has performed at each match within the fall. 

Ian Love makes his season debut for the Wildcats following a win at The Bear hosted by Div. III Ursinus Oct. 11. 

Luke Leonard joins the crew as a person within the match.
