Glasgow schooling boss quits over sending funds recommendation texts

Glasgow City Council stated whereas there was nothing improper with council officers providing recommendation throughout the chamber, among the messages had doubtlessly breached guidelines.

In a press release, a spokesperson for the native authority stated: “In Spring 2024 Douglas responded to text messages from a member of Glasgow City Council about the Council’s 2024/2025 budget.

The spokesperson added that Dr Hutchison would not be commenting on the matter.

Dr Hutchison was previously the Director of People and Depute Chief Executive at South Ayrshire Council.
