Wong Leads Ladies’s Golf At RWI Invite With Top 20 End

LĪHU’E, Kaua’i – University of Hawai’i ladies’s golfer Jasmine Wong carded a remaining spherical even par 72 to complete in a tie for 18^th place on the 28^th Rainbow Wahine Invitational on the Ocean Course at Hokuala.
 
Wong posted her second consecutive 72 for a 2-over 218 complete and her second profession Top 20 end. The Honolulu native helped the Rainbow Wahine transfer up a spot within the workforce standings right into a tie for 14^th place. UH shot a remaining spherical 5-over 293 for an 892 complete.
 
Baylor shot 277 to win the workforce title at 851 for its third RWI championship since 2021. Missouri and Santa Clara tied for runner-up at 860. Baylor’s Yurang Li captured medalist honors at 12-under 204 after a remaining spherical 7-under 65.
 
Maline Kraus additionally carded 72 to share team-best honors with Wong on the day. The Düsseldorf, Germany native completed the match at 5-over 221 and a tie for 32^nd place. Rounding out the UH contingent had been Chloe Ku (75=225; t-54^th), Emiko Sverduk (74=228; t-70^th), and Kaydence Kim (87=250; 110^th).
 
Three others competed as people – Sofina Firouzi (76=227; t-62^nd), Varnika S. Achanta (78=230; t-85^th), and Wendy Song, the latter of whom withdrew the ultimate two rounds.
 
UH closes out its fall season with Nanea Invitational, Oct. 27-29 at Nanea Golf Club in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i.
