Fun Raiser costume stroll advantages Ark

Ark of Highland Lakes’ second annual “Fun Raiser” costume stroll begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at The Athletic Club, 2312 U.S. 281 in Marble Falls. All proceeds from the 1.5-mile “spooky stroll” will straight assist Ark’s applications, which assist people and households in disaster throughout the Highland Lakes space.

“This is the community’s opportunity to donate at a level that most can do,” The Athletic Club co-founder Fermin Ortiz advised DailyTrib.com. “Instead of $100 or $500—which many that would love to help cannot comfortably give—a donation of $20 for a nice, fun T-shirt supporting a great cause at a fun event is much more doable.”

Participants will obtain a shirt whether or not or not they participate within the precise stroll. Costumes are inspired, however not required. Costume contest winners take house pies from Blue Bonnet Café.

“The Athletic Club will be matching the next $1,000 in donations, so your $10 donation becomes $20, your $20 becomes $40, and your $50 becomes $100,” Ortiz stated.
