Uncommon Nineteen Sixties Pictures Taken with Hid Minox Digicam

Most are aware of photos of the Rebbe saying Hataras Nedarim, distributing lekach, or circling throughout Hoshanos. Thanks to JEM’s ongoing work, these iconic, full-color moments are broadly identified. What’s uncommon, nevertheless, are images from 770 throughout Tishrei within the Nineteen Sixties, when the group was smaller and cameras have been scarce.

In 1966, Rabbi Chaim Boruch Halberstam arrived in New York and quietly photographed Crown Heights with an not noticeable Minox digital camera.
