Visualizing Reproductive Justice with Ericka Hart

About the Speakers

A kinky, poly, cancer-warrior, activist and sexuality educator with a Master’s of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University, Ericka Hart has taught sexuality schooling for elementary aged youth to adults throughout New York City for over 10 years, together with serving as a Peace Corps HIV/AIDs volunteer in Ethiopia from 2008-2010.

Naima Green is an artist and educator who footage people and communities to doc their vibrant relationships to position and pleasure. She engages with numerous photographic varieties, sound, and experimental movie. Throughout her collaborative observe, Green accesses and prioritizes the character of intimacy, security, and self-recognition. Often working in lush and watery environments, she presents home windows into multidimensional experiences of seawater and its pathways: magnificence, buoyancy, overwhelm, and submersion. Oral and written histories are crucial to her course of; by synthesizing archival analysis with outreach and dialog with present sitters, she frames picture-making as a continuum and her nonetheless pictures as kinetic, residing histories.
