Captain Fun Lunchtime Listening Celebration

Bring your lunch & take heed to a playlist curated by a Caffe Lena Community member. For the October version of the Captain Fun Lunchtime Listening Hour, our playlist curator will probably be none aside from our Caffè Lena member, Ed Borzon!  Ed’s theme is “Folk In The World of Rock.”  The D.J. spinning these data would be the Rochmon himself – Chuck “Rochmon” Vosganian.

All are welcome to collect at Lena’s from Noon to 1 PM on the final Friday of every month to get pleasure from musical reminiscences and new discoveries. The playlist is chosen by a distinct group member every month from the Captain Fun Listening Library of vinyl data in Lena’s foyer. Bring a brown bag lunch. Coffee and tea are supplied.

The Captain Fun Listening Library occupying the north wall within the Caffè Lena foyer is comprised of 1,516 vinyl albums and a number of other hundred CDs chosen from Al “Captain Fun” McKenney’s expertly curated assortment. This treasure trove of people, blues and jazz was left us in 2015 and we share it via our month-to-month listening hour, as Al wished. 

Enjoy the reminiscences these data convey again, and dig deep into American roots music.
