LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Women’s Swimming & Diving had loads of positives in its first residence meet towards Davidson on Saturday.
The Keydets ended the meet with a 212-82 loss to the Wildcats.
“I am incredibly proud of our team for the effort they gave in the pool and on the boards today,” says VMI Swimming Head Coach Scott Thacker. “Carissa [Witte], Lacy [Delzell], and Noelle [Tong] picking up event wins is absolutely incredible. The women are really coming together as a group, and I am proud of them.”
Freshman Lacy Delzell led the best way with a record-breaking mark within the 200 Free (1:56.66), smashing her earlier file she set earlier within the yr. Delzell later earned gold within the 200 Back (2:09.22).
Senior Noelle Tong began her afternoon with a third-place end within the 100 Back (1:01.44) earlier than scoring first within the 100 Free (54.00).
