ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio Swimming and Diving staff returned to the Aquatic Center (Oct. 25) for the second day of the tri-meet with Buffalo and Marshall. The Bobcats earn their first two wins of the season, defeating Buffalo 213-147 and Marshall 247-106.  
 
Day two of the tri-meet kicked off with 1-meter diving, the place junior Astrid Pichardo completed with a rating of 255.55, inserting fourth, and freshman Bella Basford (Cincinnati, Ohio) completed with a rating of 244.25, inserting fifth.
 
Ohio opened the swim portion of the meet, claiming first place within the 200-yard medley relay. Freshman Lily Baumgartner (Ada, Ohio), Senior Casadie DiBetta (St. Clairsville, Ohio), Junior Zita Szoke (Serbia, Becej), and freshman Tori Wittenberg (Medford, N.J.) completed with a ultimate time of 1:38.94.
 
In the 500-yard freestyle, freshman Katrina Kollin (Dublin, Ohio) earned a third-place end, with a time of 4:57.79, and senior Anna McGrath (Lewis Center, Ohio) completed in fourth with a time of 4:59.25.
 
The Bobcats had three swimmers place within the top-five within the 100-yard again, together with Baumgartner, who completed in second with a time of 55.02, junior Melanie Schweikert (Maineville, Ohio completed in third with a time of 55.18, and senior Allison Schrank (Blaine, Minn.) completed in fourth place with a time of 55.85.

Ohio claimed three of the top-five spots within the 100-yard breaststroke, with Dibetta inserting first with a time of 1:01.06, senior Emily Ellsworth (Westerville, Ohio) ending in fourth place with a time of 1:03.98, and freshman Juliette Daigneault (Scottsdale, Ariz) ending in fifth with a time of 1:04.31.

In the 100-yard fly, sophomore Jordan Claypoole (Parkersburg, W. Va) claimed first place with a time of 53.97, and freshman Jana Macik (Aldie, Va.) completed in fourth place with a time of 55.04.

In the 200-yard free, junior Katie Buroker (Zionsville, Ind.) completed in third place with a time of 1:52.11.

Ellsworth took second place within the 400-yard IM, with a time of 4:23.44.

In the ultimate occasion of the day, Ohio claimed first place within the 400-yard freestyle relay. Wittenberg, Szoke, Claypoole, and Buroker completed with a time of three:20.51.

Ohio returns to the pool on Friday, Nov. 7th, at Ball State at 5 p.m. in Muncie, Ind.
