“The team made a solid step today in their first race,” Head Coach Kelsie Chaudoin stated. “We’ve spent a good amount of time going at one another in pairs this fall, so for them to have the chance to race other west coast crews was a great opportunity for everyone.”
The day kicked off with 10 USC pairs within the collegiate race. Five pairs completed within the high 10 with Emily Munroe and Abbie Diemer taking second place, Gerli Endrekson and Viktoryia Vasilyeva claiming third and Elena Cerrudo and Louise Gyssels ending in fourth. The pairs had been up in opposition to boats from Oregon State, Sacramento State, Washington State, Portland, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach State and Chico State.
