Kalina Ceglinski named GLIAC Diver of the Week

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Standout diver for the NMU girls’s swim and dive workforce, junior Kalia Ceglinski, has been honored with GLIAC Female Diver of the Week after her performances over the weekend. 

The Elmhurt, Illinois, native opened the weekend towards #14 Findlay and #17 Saginaw Valley on Friday with a win within the 1-meter diving, posting a rating of 264.85, adopted by a win within the 3-meter, a rating of 253.95.

Ceglinski then circled lower than 24 hours later within the pool versus #4 Grand Valley State, the place she received each the 1-meter (264.30) and 3-meter (250.73) en path to claiming 4 gold-medal finishes over the weekend towards robust nationally-ranked competitors.

“Kalina has had a strong start to the season, and has been a great team leader for our younger women’s team.” provides diving coach Christopher Kelly. “We are excited to get back to practice and keep our momentum going into the mid season meet!”

The 2024 First-Team All-American within the 3-meter and Second-Team All-American within the 1-meter has now received all eight occasions she has competed on this season, relationship again to the UP showdown to begin the season at the start of October. 

The Wildcats return residence two weekends from now, because the workforce hosts #13 Wayne State on Friday, Novemeber 7, and Saturday, November 8, from the PEIF Pool in Marquette.
