AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer ended the regular season on a three-match unbeaten streak after a 1-1 draw with Missouri Sunday afternoon at the Auburn Soccer Complex.

Junior Dylan Driver broke through in the 20th minute to give the home Tigers (5-5-7, 1-3-6) the early lead. Missouri (4-10-3, 1-7-2) responded with seven minutes remaining in the match to steal points and seal the tie.

“It’s the story of our season so far. We dominate the box score, but we don’t put teams away,” head coach James Armstrong said. “Giving up a late goal on a set piece was very disappointing. Credit to Missouri, they had some great saves, and we were a little unlucky at times, but we’ve got to pull the trigger when it’s on and make sure we’re taking the right shots at the right times.”

Overall, Auburn outshot Mizzou 22-6 and placed nearly 50% of its looks on frame; however, opposing goalkeeper Riley Wilkerson made nine saves.  Auburn keeper Ayana Yapo saved two of the three dangerous chances she faced. Auburn also held 60% possession and created double-digit attacking corner kicks for the third time this season while allowing only four corners from its opponent.

Driver led the Orange & Blue in chances with a career-high six. She placed half on frame. Auburn also found a handful of looks from junior Grace Ivey and senior Erin Flurey, both of whom got four shots off.

Auburn’s early goal was a result of a direct ball out of the back from the right foot of senior Taylor Chism. Chism threaded the center backs with a well-located pass for Driver to run onto and punch a shot past Wilkerson and into the lower left corner.

Driver’s goal was the seventh of her collegiate career. Chism earned her fourth career assist.

Up next, Auburn heads to Pensacola, Florida for the 2025 SEC Soccer Tournament at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex. The Tigers will face LSU in the opening round on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. CT.
