third annual fall pageant in Greenville feeds households and gives enjoyable

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – ‘Striving with Vision’ hosted their third annual fall pageant at Dream Park that included video games, a free meal, and extra.

Those in attendance stated they appreciated a spot to return collectively.

“Seeing people we ain’t seen in a couple of weeks. Community, especially in a time like now. It’s great that we can come together and do this together, and enjoy the company of everybody,” attendee Desirai Wright instructed WITN.

The pageant isn’t the one outreach Striving with Vision does. They additionally do road clean-ups and like to assist present sources to their neighborhood.

Lala Robinson, volunteer director for Striving with Vision, says it’s nice to have the ability to assist.

“It feels really good, listening to some of the stories sometimes, like thank you so much for helping me, I never knew about your guy’s organization,” Robinson stated. “Being able to help people point them in the right direction, whether it’s going back to school, finding jobs, the different types of workshops that we do, it just feels really good to do.”

The group was in a position to additional embrace the Greenville neighborhood with volunteers from J.H. Rose and South Central High School, who say they had been glad to present again.

“There’s not really a favorite; everything has been really fun, but if I had to pick a favorite, it’s just seeing little kids happy,” stated volunteer Janessa Howard.

Striving with Vision says they give the impression of being to proceed having these fall festivals sooner or later.
